Clarksville board approves four-day school week, personnel changes and interdistrict partnerships

At its March 24, 2026 regular meeting the Clarksville Comm School District board unanimously approved a four-day 2026–27 calendar (first day Aug. 24, 2026; 151 student contact days), accepted personnel resignations, approved new hires and volunteers, and authorized sharing agreements and other routine items.
The Clarksville Comm School District Board of Education voted unanimously March 24, 2026, to adopt a four-day school week for the 2026–27 school year and approved a package of personnel and partnership items at its regular meeting in Room 109.
Board member Brandon Kampman moved to approve the proposed 2026–27 four-day week calendar; Board member Phil Barnett seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The calendar sets the first day of school for Aug. 24, 2026, and provides 151 student contact days.
The board accepted several resignations and approved personnel and volunteer appointments. The minutes list resignations from Teresa Lehman (associate & speech), Ross Timmermans (PE teacher and girls basketball coach), and Tyler Obermann (K–12 art teacher and golf). Approved hires and assignments included Dylan Edeker as assistant softball coach at $2,826 (9%, step 0) and Josie Smith as associate at $14.00 per hour; volunteers approved included Landon Vance (welding club) and Dan Clark (golf).
The board approved sharing agreements with North Butler Community School District for a shared superintendent, business manager, HR director and for wrestling programs. Members also approved the 2026–27 AEA purchasing agreement for school nutrition, a fundraiser for the welding club, and an out-of-state field trip to the University of Wisconsin–Platteville to visit the cadaver lab.
Board members approved an agreement with Waverly–Shell Rock Community School District to participate in the Greenview Alternative School program. All motions recorded in the minutes passed by unanimous votes of the five board members present.
The meeting adjourned at 6:16 p.m. The board listed its next regular meeting for April 22, 2026.
