The commission also introduced an ordinance to amend the unified development code (section 71-8, table 71-J and article 5), scheduled a first public hearing for July 27, 2026, and referred the matter to the planning commission for recommendation.
Staff explained that final budget numbers require running year-end figures before a final adoption, but the commission voted to approve the proposed 2026 budget amendments as presented. The commission approved expenditures totaling $85,971.33; staff noted one $20,000 item related to water-system controls and billing communications.
The commission passed the listed resolutions and amendments during the meeting; project-specific approvals and procurement steps will follow according to normal processes.
