Clerk Ahnu Shah moved that the Planning Board support Town Meeting Article 19; Vice‑Chair John Sugrue seconded. The board voted 5-0 in favor (Shah-aye, Sugrue-aye, Perlman-aye, Roopenian-aye, Garvin-aye).
Board members and staff discussed timing and context: Burney said the Sewataro camp contract is expiring soon, which makes the current period an appropriate opportunity to review long‑term options for the property. Ms. Roopenian described the proposed consultant scope as more specific than some Community Preservation Committee submissions and said the hire would help “synthesize” views presented by elected committee members.
The article will appear on the Town Meeting warrant for consideration; Planning Board members indicated their support at the April 8 meeting but did not take any final Town Meeting vote at the meeting itself.
