The Permanent Building Committee received two membership applications after advertising for additional members. Applicant John Mann, a three‑year Sudbury resident with experience in building construction, attended the July 24 meeting to present his qualifications and discuss his availability for committee service. Committee members discussed differences between private‑sector and public‑sector construction work and asked about Mann’s availability for meetings; the committee thanked him for his interest.
Committee members and Combined Facilities Director Sandra Duran agreed to meet again on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. Co‑Chair Elaine Jones will check Mr. Eberly’s and Mr. Scarlata’s availability for that date to discuss the Fairbank project and will contact the second applicant about attending.
