The Policies and Procedures Subcommittee of the Sudbury Select Board met virtually on Nov. 8, 2024. Subcommittee members Dan Carty and Lisa Kouchakdjian reviewed a spreadsheet of town policies, designated a set as active or to be rescinded, assigned follow-up tasks to the town manager and members, and adjourned at 12:03 p.m.
Member Dan Carty presented and highlighted a spreadsheet showing policies marked in green and said the subcommittee had designated the referenced policies as either active or to be rescinded. Carty told the group he will create a webpage mockup to display the policies and their status.
Carty also reported he was unable to find the revised policy that defines "Local Preference households," even though that policy is referenced in prior minutes. Town Manager Andy Sheehan agreed to search for the missing policy and to review the affirmative action, town trust fund, and Sudbury Trust policies ahead of the next meeting. Sheehan also will look for wording for the Town Manager Evaluation Policy.
Member Lisa Kouchakdjian was assigned to locate a remote participation policy, draft an outline for a Select Board handbook, and prepare the minutes for the meeting. The subcommittee did not vote on minutes; minutes from this meeting and the October meeting will be considered at the next subcommittee meeting.
The subcommittee set its next meeting for Dec. 6, 2024. Member Kouchakdjian moved to adjourn at 12:03 p.m.; Member Carty seconded. The motion passed 2-0, each member stating "aye."
