Principal Kevin Chavez told the board that absences have decreased compared with the prior two years and that the school recorded two new enrollments. Chavez also described work by the Literacy Leadership Team, participation in TNTP monthly meetings, the district's Educator and Leader Evaluation Model and ongoing professional development and a grant for improvement support; he noted work toward NAEYC re-accreditation for the Pre-K program.
Superintendent Andrew Skarzynski reported upcoming CABE training and new board member orientation dates, and said the state's EDsite report card showed Chaplin Elementary School up four points from last year based on academic growth and attendance. The superintendent also noted that Russell Blair of the FOI Commission will attend the RD11 meeting next month.
Ann Kaufmann announced the winter concert scheduled for Dec. 11, 2025, at 6 p.m. The board recorded no public comment on these items during the meeting.
