The Permanent Building Committee approved the Sept. 3 minutes unanimously and moved to recommend two candidates to the Select Board.
Co-Chair Craig Blake moved to recommend Katherine (Kay) Bell to the Select Board as a voting member for a two-year term expiring May 31, 2026. The motion was seconded and passed on a 3–2 vote; the minutes record the committee’s majority view that the upcoming design work will be mostly mechanical and that Bell could serve as a project manager for that work.
Blake also moved to recommend John Mann to the Select Board for a three-year term expiring May 31, 2027. That motion was seconded and approved unanimously.
The committee set the next meeting for Oct. 29 at 7 p.m., pending Facilities Director Sandra Duran’s availability, and adjourned at 8:48 p.m. The Select Board will consider the committee’s recommendations at a future meeting.
