Superintendent Walls updated council members on the city's leak-detection system (Zonescan) and identified multiple leaks, including a service line issue on Main Street. Walls also reported that Speedway struck a 3-inch line on Maumee Center and that crews are preparing replacements where needed. The superintendent noted a new utility technician has started work.
During audience comments at the May 18 meeting, Genie Bishop discussed car-show planning and flagged the need for event audio. Chris Anderson proposed supplying a wireless PA system with equipment cost quoted at $6,240.74 and offered to provide installation to the city at no charge.
