Conservation Commission unanimously moves regular meetings to 6 p.m.; chair named Town Council liaison

The Conservation Commission voted unanimously to move its regular meetings from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the remainder of 2026, approved the agenda and prior minutes, and heard that Chair Jamin DeProto has been appointed to the Town Council and will serve as the Commission’s council liaison.
At its Jan. 15 meeting the Town of Cromwell Conservation Commission voted to change its regular meeting time from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the remainder of 2026. Commissioner Patricia Jepson moved the time change; Commissioner Faye Tine seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting Commission member Andrew Holt moved, and Joseph Corlis seconded, approval of the meeting agenda; that motion also passed unanimously. Near the end of the session Holt moved to approve the Dec. 11, 2025 meeting minutes; Patricia Jepson seconded and the minutes were approved unanimously.
Chairman Jamin DeProto told the Commission he had been appointed to the Town Council following the resignation of Julia Aurigemma and that he will serve as the Town Council liaison to the Conservation Commission. Director Armstrong said the Town is forming a Complete Streets Commission as part of the 2026 Complete Streets plan and requested that the Conservation Commission nominate one member to serve on that new commission; the Commission will decide who to send at its next meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
