The board moved the item up on the agenda and heard from Superintendent Smith, who described the boiler’s failed condition, provided a current quote and said additional quotes are in process. Smith asked the board to allow the administration to secure competitive bids and complete the replacement promptly.
Board Member Shawna Goldfarb moved the authorization; Board Member Jennifer Voegtli seconded. The motion specifies that the approved amount will not exceed $60,000 and that the work will be funded from the district’s reserve fund, subject to later budget review. The motion passed on a roll-call vote recorded as 10-0-0; Board member Joseph Centofanti was listed as absent.
