The Finance Committee approved a $272,258 purchase of a replacement dump truck and attachments from Public Works on Tuesday.
Mr. Herriot, who presented the item, said the unit slated for replacement has roughly 109,000 miles, is 10 years old and has required frequent repairs. "This is just a replacement of one of our older asset dump trucks," he said. The funding will come from an available balance of $394,376 in the Public Works allocation.
Committee members asked no further questions and the committee passed the purchase without objection.
Next steps: procurement and delivery will follow standard purchasing procedures; staff did not provide a delivery timeline in committee.
