The Trussville City Council unanimously approved two ordinances to annex city-limit parcels on the council’s regular agenda.
Councilor Brigh moved for unanimous consent and the council considered Ordinance 2024-1015 to annex property at 8124 Glendale Farms Road. The council recorded a unanimous roll-call consideration vote and then voted to adopt the ordinance; the clerk recorded three “yes” votes.
Shortly after, Councilor Cook asked for unanimous consent to consider Ordinance 2024-16x to annex the parcel at 133 Alabama Boulevard. Councilors noted that Planning and Zoning had issued a positive recommendation; the council again granted unanimous consent and later voted to adopt the annexation by roll call with three recorded “yes” votes.
Both annexation votes were recorded with unanimous support; the ordinances will change municipal boundary status for the named parcels. No speakers from the public opposed the annexations at the time of consideration. The council did not discuss any fiscal impacts or direct staff follow-up in the meeting minutes beyond the roll-call approvals.
