The presenter noted that the incident affected many districts; one speaker said the figure appeared to be about 60 million accounts, though officials emphasized that more definitive information is pending from PowerSchool.
Administrators said current information from the webinar indicated that data are not expected to be sold or distributed, but district staff want more concrete assurances and continuing updates. The committee was told the administration would share additional details with staff and families when they become available.
No remediation steps specific to individual students were announced at the meeting; the district said it will continue to consult counsel and PowerSchool representatives and will notify stakeholders with updates.
