Otis Historical Commission schedules public programs, updates museum collections and plans website link to town site
Summary

The Otis Historical Commission used its Oct. 8 meeting to confirm community programming and collections activity.
Celeste Watman, a commission member, reported that a basket of knitting needles had been left on a museum table; Tricia Smith acknowledged she had temporarily left the items. Watman also said current issues of the Otis Observer were added to the museum collection.
Gail Gelburd announced two Notice Otis programs: Sherry Steiner will present Oct. 16, and Gelburd will speak Nov. 12 about Sue Moody and read from a book titled “The Liberation of Sue Moody, Slaying the Dragons.” Peter Cameron said he will work on linking the Otis Historical Commission website to the Town of Otis site to improve public access.
The commission set its next meeting for Dec. 3, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. on Zoom. No formal votes were recorded on programming or website work at this meeting.
