Otis commission seeks quotes for pickleball court, eyes ski-helmet event and spring cleanup

At the Sept. 4 meeting the Otis Recreation Commission advanced several program and facilities items. In old business Heather told Chair Dana Pustinger she has contacted Dana and volunteered to take over getting cost quotes for a pickleball court behind the Town Hall.
Under new business the commission discussed safety and outreach programming. Robin Martin said she will check with Eric about the cost of bulk ordering ski helmets and about finding a ski-organization representative who could fit participants; if the commission can secure a supplier and fitter, it plans to host a helmet-fitting event at Otis Ridge. Commissioners also proposed a Spring Cleanup Day as an all-day event that would help kick off seasonal food-truck programming, and discussed offering community workshops.
The commission set its next meeting for Thursday, Oct. 16, at 6:30 p.m.
