Given the board’s assessment that the town had no immediate interest in acquiring more property, a member moved to refuse the town’s right of first refusal; the motion was seconded and the board approved the refusal. The board also moved to grant the seller relief from the 120-day town offer requirement because the town did not intend to purchase the property; that motion was likewise approved.
The refusal allows the seller to proceed with the sale as proposed. Town staff did not indicate the town will pursue alternate acquisition steps.
