The town would invest about $250,000 and seek the remaining funding from the state grant program. Legal counsel reviewed the project agreements and confirmed they comply with the Climate Leader program and applicable state law.
Board members voted to authorize either the chair or the town administrator to sign letters of intent and to move the procurement and planning work forward so the town can submit a complete application by the Aug. 7 deadline.
What’s next: Staff will complete preliminary work, finalize letters of intent and submit the grant application; if the grant is not awarded, planning documentation will still be available for future applications.
