The Dolores County Board of County Commissioners on Dec. 22 adopted Resolution 12‑25‑18 to ratify appointments to the Dub Creek Ambulance Board of Directors that the board says were made on Nov. 24.
Staff explained the Nov. 24 appointments were taken on the record, but state reviewers asked to see a written resolution confirming the action. A county representative said the resolution is “only a confirmation and ratifying of the November 24 vote” and does not change the earlier appointments.
One board member said they wished they had known more before the November vote and voiced some hesitation during discussion, but the board voted to adopt the confirming resolution. Officials said failing to adopt the written resolution could have jeopardized the ambulance district’s standing with the state, while adopting it simply created the requested paperwork.
The meeting record shows the board approved the resolution during the Dec. 22 session and will proceed to provide the resolution to state reviewers as requested.
