Clermont Town Council schedules May budget hearing, approves routine business

Council Member Seth Weaver moved to approve the agenda with the change of removing Steve Gailey because Gailey could not attend; John Brady seconded and all council members present voted in favor. Seth Weaver later moved to approve the March 2026 minutes; Marcia Kesler seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Town Clerk Amy Lomax told the council that a public hearing on the town budget is scheduled for the May meeting and asked members to submit any budget proposals to her within two weeks. The council reviewed the February 2026 financial report and the Planning and Zoning report; no formal actions on those reports were recorded in the transcript.
Mayor James Nix updated the council on Veterans Park, saying flag poles have been installed and that the monument, sidewalks and benches are still pending installation. Amy Lomax reported carpet installation at the Chattahoochee Center and the Grover and Lucille Hood Community Center is scheduled for the week of April 20.
The Mayor invited public comment; none was offered. Seth Weaver moved to adjourn at 7:10 p.m.; Marcia Kesler seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
