Clermont council approves agenda and minutes; community center updates and July 3 celebration planned

The Clermont Town Council unanimously approved the meeting agenda and the January 2026 minutes during its Feb. 5 session, with motions made and seconded by council members and all present voting in favor.
John Brady moved to approve the agenda; Amanda Nix seconded and all council members present voted yes. Brady later moved to approve the January 2026 minutes; Marcia Kesler seconded and the motion passed unanimously. At the close of the meeting, Seth Weaver moved to adjourn, John Brady seconded and the motion passed with all council members present voting in favor.
Town Clerk Amy Lomax told the council the town has received three carpet quotes for the Chattahoochee Center renovation and is awaiting samples from one vendor before scheduling installation. Lomax also reported plans for the town’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary: fireworks and entertainment are scheduled for July 3, 2026, and a cruise-in will be held in conjunction with the event.
There were no public comments recorded during the public comment period. No additional funding motions were recorded for the community center or the celebration at the Feb. 5 meeting.
