The Milford Inland Wetlands Agency took no action April 15 on a proposed in-ground pool at 110 Pine Knob Terrace, citing outstanding information from the applicant and a need for septic-system clearance.
Mary Rose introduced the old-business item (IW260011), describing a proposal by Robert Longo for a 20-by-20 in-ground pool, a 15-by-30 concrete patio, a three-sided stone surround with stepping stones, and pool equipment, with work proposed within 100 feet of a flagged wetland. She told the agency that portions of the wetland are both on-site and off-site and that the applicant had not responded to a list of requested items transmitted after the last meeting. Mary Rose said she spoke with the surveyor, who indicated they were working with health-department requirements.
"I would recommend no action this evening," Mary Rose said, noting the applicant must demonstrate that the existing septic system is adequate or provide a secondary septic area before taking up yard space with a pool.
The agency did not vote to deny or approve the application; instead, members left the item pending receipt of the outstanding materials and any health-department approvals. The item will return to the agency when staff and the applicant can supply the requested information and the city engineer’s review, if applicable.
