Mary Rose, a city staff member who introduced the item, said the applicant, Garden Homes Management, delivered a hard set of revised plans the previous afternoon and submitted documentation responding to prior city comments. "This is the front page of the revised plans that we received yesterday afternoon," Mary Rose said while showing the updated drawings. She told the agency the city engineer will begin reviewing the plans and that any outstanding questions should be routed to staff so the applicant can address them before the next meeting.
Agency members discussed logistics for an on-site inspection — including parking and who would serve as secretary for the visit — and settled on a site walk for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday the 29th, meeting at the sidewalk on Dogwood Avenue and Big Drive. A motion to hold the site walk was made, seconded and carried on a roll call vote.
The plans presented to the agency show work proposed within 150 feet of an offsite wetland and note additional wetlands in nearby open space. Mary Rose said the city engineer had not completed a detailed review and that staff and the applicant had exchanged responses on earlier concerns; she encouraged agency members to submit questions in advance so the applicant could respond at the next regular meeting.
The site walk does not constitute formal agency approval of the project. After the engineer’s review and any requested supplemental materials, the agency may consider scheduling a public hearing, request additional information, or take other procedural steps.
Roll-call outcome: the motion to hold a site walk carried on a roll call vote recorded by Lisa; individual members voting in favor were Ranjit Bhavnani, Brian Black, Jim Conners, Matthew Connors, Scott Marlow, Julie Valvo, Buddy Field, Ray Gradwell, and Brendan Meagan.
