Bourne School Committee approves grant-funded BHS overnight trip to MBL Woods Hole

Dr. Maguire requested committee approval and said the trip would be fully funded by a state grant awarded to MBL. Maureen Fuller, a member of the Bourne School Committee, moved to approve the trip; Kerrie Scofield seconded the motion and a voice vote passed 7-0-0.
According to the committee record, the three-day program will include dorm lodging, lab-safety training, lectures and hands-on laboratory time along with social activities. The committee did not specify the number of students who will attend, cost per student (the record states the trip is fully funded by the grant), or chaperone assignments.
The approval was recorded as a routine motion on the meeting agenda. The committee did not add conditions to the approval in the minutes and no opposition or abstentions were recorded.
