At its May 7 meeting the Bourne School Committee approved a package of routine items and preliminary student trip authorizations.
Policy and personnel: The committee approved an updated distribution-of-literature policy (KHAA) and adopted several job descriptions including Digital Integration Specialist, a revised Athletic Director description, RBT/ABA and SLPA job descriptions. Motions were moved and seconded by committee members and passed by unanimous voice votes.
Field trips and scholarships: The committee granted preliminary approval for overnight and out-of-state trips including DECA competitions (Arlington, VA; Hyannis, Boston; Atlanta), Nature’s Classroom, and a Washington, D.C. trip. Kerrie Scofield moved to award the Josephine Lewis Scholarship as presented; the motion passed by voice vote, 8–0–0.
Routine approvals: Warrants and payroll were approved in a roll-call vote that passed 7–0–0 (student representative Addison Dion was not eligible to vote). The committee also approved the regular session minutes of April 2, 2025 by voice vote, 8–0–0.
All approvals at the meeting were recorded in the minutes as unanimous; no votes failed or were tabled.
