At the April 28 work session, City Clerk Kimberly Davis proposed changing the city’s daily close of business to 3 p.m. to allow frontline staff time to complete closing paperwork. After discussion, the council agreed to implement the change beginning July 1, 2025.
Davis said that "all transactions made after 3pm be processed on the next business day," and described the change as a way to help the front-office staff complete end-of-day administrative tasks. Council members discussed the proposal and agreed to the start date without a recorded formal vote at the work session. The clerk will implement the new schedule on July 1 and staff will process any after-hours transactions the following business day.
Next steps: City Clerk Kimberly Davis will publish the new hours and ensure front-office procedures reflect the change before July 1.
