The Saugatuck City Council approved $270,636.68 in accounts payable and authorized a new waste and recycling contract with Allied Waste Services Inc., doing business as Republic Services of Jenison, at its Nov. 12 meeting.
The accounts payable batch was approved by roll call vote (motion by Lauren Stanton, second by Councilmember Dean) with the motion carrying 6–0. The council then approved the updated waste and recycling collection and disposal agreement with Allied Waste Services Inc., DBA Republic Services of Jenison (motion by Stanton, second by Baldwin); that vote carried 6–0.
The minutes record the contract as an agreement for waste collection and disposal; no additional contract amount or multi‑year term was specified in the minutes. Councilmembers did not record amendments or conditions to the contract in the meeting minutes.
