Goodnow Library trustees approve minutes, set timeline for director’s annual review

The Goodnow Library Board of Trustees unanimously approved the minutes from its Feb. 3 meeting and agreed on a schedule for the library director’s annual performance review during its March 3, 2026 meeting.
Trustees discussed conducting the director’s evaluation at the 12-month mark. Because the board does not meet over the summer, trustees agreed they would submit their individual evaluations in June to the Town Manager so he could add his assessment ahead of an Aug. 6 deadline; the process is set to begin in April with the director providing a summary of accomplishments since arrival.
The board recorded the Director’s Report, the Financial Report and the Goodnow Library Foundation report as attached documents; each was entered into the record with the notation “see attached report for details” and no substantive discussion was reported.
Katina moved to approve the minutes from the Feb. 3 meeting and Eriko seconded; the motion carried unanimously. Ingrid later moved to adjourn; that motion also passed unanimously and the meeting ended at 7:00 PM.
Attendance was noted as “all trustees, except for Megan Kelley.” Trustees moved the May meeting to May 12 because of Town Meeting and set the April meeting for Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 6:30 PM; the June meeting date will be finalized later.
Documents listed as used during the meeting included the trustees’ agenda, the Feb. 3 minutes, the Director’s Report (including finance), and the March 2026 GLF report. The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for April 7, 2026 at 6:30 PM.
