Council discussed the sawmill property and agreed that further research is required before any action; no motion or vote on acquisition or disposition was recorded. Ray Hernandez is scheduled to meet with MEDC this month to discuss his project for village properties, and the council asked that follow-up work continue.
The council also noted a landlord meeting on rental inspections set for March 20, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The meeting notice was presented as an administrative announcement; no vote or change in inspection policy occurred at the March 13 meeting.
Manager Saylors, reporting for the Cemetery Board, described quotes for a new cemetery map for the village office, a cemetery sign that would display the map, and cemetery markers; the council did not take further action at this meeting beyond discussion. President Joshua Barnette said he is researching options for a new picnic table at Sykes Park.
The council also noted an engagement letter from Gabridge & Co. that requires signatures from Manager Saylors and President Barnette. The meeting adjourned at 8:29 p.m.
