Treasurer reports $7.76 million in town accounts; retirement plans, bank access and Ivory Wealth review scheduled

Treasurer Tom Lindner told the Deep River Board of Finance on Jan. 6 that the towns combined cash accounts held $7,758,406.43 as of Dec. 22, 2025, and reviewed recent wire transfers, interest-rate changes and active bond payment schedules.
Lindner said the accounts reported included the General Fund, the ARP fund, the Capital Nonrecurring Fund, the Town Clerk checking account, the Town Grant account, WPCA accounts, Community Health Committee funds and the Incubator #600 Building rental income account. He also noted that Liberty Bank is setting up online view-only access for the Community Health Committee and WPCA accounts.
The treasurer reported a meeting scheduled for Jan. 8 with Ivory Wealth to review the status of the town employees and firefighters retirement plans and related management. Chairman Tim Puglielli asked about a $25,000 payment labeled as an SCG interest payment; the item was identified in the meeting as Southern Connecticut Gas and the label was incorrect.
Lindner also reviewed the status of active bonds and their payment schedule and provided current bank interest rates and month-to-month changes. The board did not take a formal vote on recommendations in the treasurers report during this session.
