Staff member reports progress on Daggett County Health Business and Community Center construction

A staff member told the Daggett County Municipal Building Authority on Oct. 14 that construction of the Daggett County Health Business and Community Center is advancing: the foundation is complete and mostly backfilled, the entire basement has been framed and most of the decking on the main level is in place.

"So they've finalized the foundation. They're almost backfilled on it. The entire basement is framed, and they've got most of the decking on the main level to start framing the main level," the staff member said, describing work that crews will follow by beginning the gravity line once backfill is finished.

The staff member also said the retaining wall "should also be bored this week," signaling that structural work is moving toward the next construction phases. The Chair thanked the staff member for the update; staff further noted that the next required inspection will be the standard four‑way inspection unless rebar in the retaining wall requires an earlier check.

The board briefly opened its policy and legislation item on change orders for the project later in the meeting and was told there were no new change orders or construction change directives to report. No formal action was taken on change orders during the session.

The update gave board members a timeline for immediate tasks — gravity-line work and retaining‑wall boring — but did not include new budget or contract changes. The board did not vote on any construction amendments during the meeting.
