Member Dale Maynard proposed two specific edits to the draft: deleting the phrase "at some future date" and adding a recommendation that towns begin a legislative initiative working with state senators to secure funding for local emergency services. Patrick Walsh seconded the motion to adopt the report with those changes, and the task force approved it 4-0.
The adoption follows routine procedural steps earlier in the meeting: Vice Chairman Tim Feegel moved to adopt the meeting agenda as submitted and later moved to adjourn, both motions carried 4-0. The March 3, 2025 minutes were also approved without change by unanimous vote.
The task force recorded its attendance at the start of the meeting: Chairman Richard Knotek, Vice Chairman Tim Feegel, Dale Maynard and Patrick Walsh (participating by phone) were listed as present; Town Manager David Cox was also present and Jordan Werme was listed as absent.
The group determined no additional task force meeting is needed at this time. The minutes were signed by recording clerk Katrina Aligata. The adopted draft report will be transmitted to the Town Council for any next steps the council chooses to take.
