Commissioner Lyle asked how much of the package covered cybersecurity. "Oh, very little. Cyber security is $7,600," Hansen replied. Hansen said the majority of the premium is for liability coverage and that the county participates in an insurance pool where losses across participants affect premium rates.
Board members moved and seconded the staff recommendation to approve the insurance package; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote. No amendment or alternative coverage levels were recorded in the meeting transcript provided.
County staff will implement the coverage as presented; Hansen and others thanked staff for researching and preparing the proposal.
