Board members were presented with the names and assignments of ten incoming teachers, including Olivia Stritz (Adams language arts), Margaret Monog (Adams school counselor), Christine McQueen (Baldwin school counselor), Carla Stoddard (Baldwin orchestra teacher), Marcy McDermott (special education, Guilford Lakes), Allison Wilkerson Matis (grade 1, Cox), Madison Patosi (grade 3, Lakes), Steven Hos (Adams orchestra teacher), Kimberly Ragnow (special education, Guilford High School) and Kristen Balamo (mathematics instruction coach, Guilford Lakes). The board moved, seconded and approved the appointments.
The board also ratified the resignation of Alicia Foster, a special-education teacher at Guilford Lakes with 11 years of service; the board approved that ratification by unanimous vote.
