Phillips told the commission that a cast-in-place cover of the bridge would typically take up to about 120 calendar days, meaning the road could be closed for approximately four to six months depending on weather. Commissioners discussed coordination with the City of Riverside about local costs, and staff said the county engineer's office will produce a more detailed scope and cost estimate to support requests for state assistance and council coordination.
The commission did not take a vote; staff was asked to prepare supporting materials for outreach to state representatives and the local municipality.
