The Town of Mansfield Arts Advisory Committee reviewed several administrative and policy items at its Feb. 4 meeting, updating its display application and recording a small budget request for FY26-27.
Members agreed to revise the online display application to list only the Mansfield Community Center and Lenard Hall as display locations and to remove specific display dates. The application language will be changed to read that "Exhibits will normally run for 6 – 8 weeks." The committee also adopted application language that no AI or AI Assisted works will be accepted.
The committee noted a request for $750 in the FY26-27 budget and discussed purchasing a Chromebox in FY26-27; minutes indicate juried-show application fees are expected to help offset these costs. Staff were asked to send the committee’s tax-exempt certificate to the committee.
Committee members completed the Town of Mansfield Code of Ethics acknowledgement of receipt (forms were recorded for D. Vaughan, A. Williams, D. Rose and L. Smolin) and the group noted vacancies for Co‑Chair and Secretary that need to be filled. The minutes also record that D. Vaughan moved to approve and A. Williams seconded the Jan. 7 minutes, which were approved with corrections.
Members discussed operational logistics including the need for an AAC items box (including easels) to support Sunday display turnover and a request to add an "artist on display" section to the Mansfield Community Center and CSA websites (it is currently listed only on the AAC website). The committee set its next meeting for March 4, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
