Granby adds senior school-choice seats and approves 2026–27 openings

The Granby Public Schools School Committee voted March 24 to add school-choice seats for seniors for the 2026–27 school year and approved the district’s proposed school-choice openings for other grades.

Staff reported a strong incoming kindergarten cohort: the district’s census showed about 61 kindergarten-aged children and 45 families have completed registration packets so far. Stacy, who handles data services, said several census families have not yet completed enrollment and staff will follow up to determine whether to open additional seats if some census children do not enroll. A committee member moved to add senior seats and the motion passed by voice vote.
