Dr. Paul Tedesco of EdWise Consulting presented data from superintendent-search surveys to the joint boards of education for the Corning Community School District and the Villisca Community School District at Southwest Valley Middle School on Feb. 13, 2025, and the boards established a tentative schedule for the search.
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by President Staci Venteicher. Board members from both districts were recorded as present. Trent Roberts moved to approve the agenda; Howard Anderson seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
During the substantive portion of the meeting Dr. Paul Tedesco presented summarized survey findings and outlined a tentative timeline for the superintendent search. The presentation and the schedule were recorded in the minutes; no formal hiring decision was made at the session and the boards did not take a separate vote on any candidate.
After the presentation Stephanie Hodapp moved to adjourn; Trent Roberts seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
The boards did not record additional formal actions at this special session. The tentative schedule for the superintendent search was set by staff and consultants for future steps in the process.
