Procurement and contracts: - Joiner Construction: Council awarded the South Lagoon/SAGR rock supply bid to Joiner Construction at $26.76 per ton. The motion was made by Dawn Christian and seconded by Chase Clark; the vote was 5-0. - SRF and Iowa DNR documents: Council authorized the mayor to sign required State Revolving Fund (SRF) and Iowa DNR documents related to the rock purchase. Motion by Dawn Christian, second by Chase Clark; unanimous. - Hall/ISG Engineering: Council approved the engineering proposal for the West South Street Rehabilitation Project. Motion by Kenny Holmes, seconded by Bryan Wolfe; unanimous.
Resolutions and schedules: - Street light: Resolution 2025-015 to add a street light at N. Lafayette and English Street was adopted on a motion by Dawn Christian, seconded by Kyle Hampton; unanimous. - Budget amendment hearing: Resolution 2025-016 sets the public hearing on FY25 Budget Amendment #1 for Oct. 9, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at Corydon City Hall. Motion by Dawn Christian, second by Chase Clark; unanimous.
Training and equipment: - Street sweeper training: Council approved city crew street sweeper training at a cost of $1,250. Motion by Kenny Holmes; unanimous. - Ductile iron saw: Council approved purchase of a ductile iron saw for up to $8,000. Motion by Kenny Holmes, second by Kyle Hampton; unanimous.
All motions recorded in the minutes passed unanimously with ayes from Councilors Christian, Clark, Hampton, Holmes and Wolfe.
