Corning board accepts assistant coach resignation, approves two staff contracts and appoints county representative

At its Jan. 20, 2025 meeting the Corning Community School District board accepted the resignation of assistant softball coach Arlin Top, approved a high school teacher contract for Gina Travis pending licensure and a part-time paraeducator contract for Wendi Boswell, and appointed Howard Anderson to the Adams County Conference Board; trustees also approved an agreement with Eide Bailly on energy credits.
The Corning Community School District board handled multiple personnel and administrative items during its Jan. 20, 2025 regular meeting.
Trustees voted to accept the resignation of Arlin Top as assistant softball coach; the motion was made by Stephanie Hodapp, seconded by Howard Anderson and carried unanimously. The board approved a 2024–2025 contract with Gina Travis as a high school teacher, contingent on required license requirements being met (moved by Hodapp; seconded by Anderson), and approved a contract with Wendi Boswell to serve as a part-time elementary paraeducator (moved by Adam Boswell; seconded by Hodapp); both motions carried unanimously.
President Staci Venteicher appointed Howard Anderson to serve as the district's representative on the Adams County Conference Board. Trustees also approved an agreement with accounting/consulting firm Eide Bailly regarding energy credits as presented (moved by Stephanie Hodapp; seconded by Adam Boswell), with the motion carrying unanimously.
Student Member Quaid Eddy and building principals delivered reports earlier in the meeting, and Superintendent Fenster provided updates on the joint board meeting agenda, the district five-year strategic plan and legislative matters. The board adjourned at 9:08 p.m.
