Corning board accepts two resignations and approves multiple staff contracts and appointments

The Corning Community School District board on Nov. 18 accepted resignations and approved several personnel actions for the 2024–25 school year.
The board accepted the resignation of Kim Wood as Hot Lunch Director and the resignation of Ashley Maddox as an elementary paraeducator. It approved a 2024–25 contract with Becky Hedinger as Hot Lunch Supervisor and contracts for paraeducators Robert Mills (high school), Lora Top (high school), Megan O’Neill (elementary) and Haley Longobardi (elementary).
The board approved early-graduation requests 'as presented' contingent on meeting all requirements. It also approved Leonardo Nava, School Resource Officer, and Adams County Law Enforcement as the district's Level II Investigator for 2024–25; approved Superintendent Chris Fenster as Equity Coordinator for 2024–25; and approved Allison Thomas and Jennifer Bissell as Section 504 Coordinators for the 2024–25 school year.
All motions related to personnel and appointments carried unanimously. The meeting minutes do not record discussion of alternative candidates, salary details or other contract terms.
