Corning school board elects Venteicher president, Boswell vice president at organizational meeting

At its Nov. 18 organizational meeting the Corning Community School District board elected Staci Venteicher president (4–1) and Adam Boswell vice president (unanimous), set its regular monthly meeting schedule and authorized interim bill payments under Policy 705.3.
The Board of Education of the Corning Community School District elected Staci Venteicher president and Adam Boswell vice president during its Nov. 18 organizational meeting.
Secretary Jodi Lyddon supervised a paper-ballot vote for president after nominations. Venteicher received four votes (Boswell, Hodapp, Roberts and Venteicher); Howard Anderson cast one vote for himself. The oath of office was administered to President Venteicher. Board members later voted unanimously to name Adam Boswell vice president and administered his oath.
The board set its regular meetings for the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the district board room. It also reviewed Policy 705.3 and approved a resolution authorizing interim payment of bills under that policy.
The leadership vote followed routine organizational procedures and occurred early in the meeting; there were no motions recorded to reverse or alter the results. The board adjourned the retiring board meeting at 7:05 p.m. and proceeded with the organizational session.
