Commission hears DRC changes to Elevantage/Slater development agreement, schedules public review for July 9 rezone/DA items

Commission staff presented changes from the Development Review Committee (DRC) to the Elevantage (Slater) development agreement and asked commissioners to review the revised document before the public hearing and rezone to R115.
Staff said the DRC and project consultant Chris Williams reviewed the agreement line-by-line and made changes that commissioners described as positive, including clarified parking allocations, elimination of a north-end road adjacent to the church property, increased setbacks on corner lots, and a proposed easement to connect a creek pathway and complete walkway connectivity around the development. Commissioners said those changes addressed prior concerns about power-line placement and lot layout.
Staff indicated the agreement and related maps would be circulated to commissioners (Liam was mentioned as the staff contact to send documents) and requested that commissioners provide feedback promptly so the packet can be finalized for public notice. Staff also reminded commissioners of public-notice timing (10–14 days) and asked that responses be returned quickly so the hearing materials can be mailed and posted in time.
Why it matters: The development agreement and rezoning will shape the site layout, trail connectivity and lot setbacks for a sizeable local project. Changes to roadway alignment and parking can affect neighborhood circulation and long-term maintenance responsibilities.
Next steps: Staff will circulate the corrected development agreement and maps; the commission will hold a public hearing and consider the rezoning and DA on July 9. Commissioners were asked to submit comments to staff (copying Liam and Nate) before circulation to the public.
