WCDC seeks tenant for old Casey’s, advances housing and cultural‑trail plans

Kelli Anderson, director of the Wayne County Development Corporation, briefed the Corydon City Council on local development initiatives during the July 24 meeting.
Anderson said WCDC is working with Kading Properties on a planned housing development and is advancing plans for a Walldog cultural trail and mural project to promote downtown visitation. The organization is also updating its website and contributing to an updated Central Iowa travel guide. Anderson said WCDC and partners are exploring creating an umbrella organization that would include the Wayne County Chamber and other community groups to better coordinate economic development efforts.
Anderson told the council WCDC is actively seeking a tenant for the vacant Casey's building and asked the council to notify her if the city has additional priorities or needs for WCDC support. She thanked the council for its time and support.
