Corning board accepts transportation director resignation and approves multiple staff contracts, names student board member

The Board of Education of the Corning Community School District accepted the resignation of James Dean McMann as Transportation Director at its Sept. 16 meeting and approved a slate of personnel contracts.
By motion of Howard Anderson, seconded by Trent Roberts, the board accepted McMann’s resignation (carried unanimously).
The board then approved a contract with Kyle Williams as Transportation Supervisor; motions to approve hiring and contractual appointments carried unanimously. The board also approved Teagan Lundquist as assistant high school wrestling coach; Rachel Campbell as National Honor Society sponsor; Micayla Taylor for a No Prep Period assignment; Hannah Fry as high school paraeducator; Jessie Forsythe as dance team sponsor; and Donna Palmer as bus route driver. Each hire was listed as "approved as presented."
Quaid Eddy was approved as the student board member in a motion by Stephanie Hodapp, seconded by Howard Anderson; that motion carried unanimously. The meeting minutes do not include candidate statements or interview details for the student member or for the staff hires.
The personnel actions were recorded as carried without conditions in the board minutes.
