Supervisor Gary Rayhons moved to approve the tentative agenda; Supervisor Florence (Sis) Greiman seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to carry it. On a subsequent motion by Greiman, seconded by Rayhons, the board approved the minutes of its June 9 meeting.
The board voted, on a motion by Rayhons seconded by Greiman, to approve a fireworks display application from the Trulson family for a private display at 1875 Iowa Avenue on July 3, 2026. The same motion certified the Primary Election costs at $22,037.01 and designated the courthouse bulletin board in the main hallway and the exterior vestibule glass as the official posting locations for public meeting notices.
On a motion by Greiman, seconded by Rayhons and carried unanimously, the board filed the Post‑Election Audit/Auditor Certification for the Primary Election held June 2, 2026.
The board also authorized the county auditor to issue checks for claims on file from June 1 through June 15, 2026. The claims listing, submitted to and approved by the board, totaled $596,428.03 and included several large items: Hancock County Medical Benefit ($184,023.02), Hancock County Coop Oil diesel ($51,632.43), Stivers Ford Lincoln vehicle ($49,015.90), Motorola Solutions vehicle and body camera equipment ($12,223.03), and Visual Edge IT printer/license charges ($11,922.82). The record lists numerous vendor and individual payments across departments; the board’s action authorized the auditor to disburse the amounts as presented.
Supervisor Rayhons moved to adjourn at 10:40 a.m.; the motion carried unanimously. Chair Osmund “Bud” Jermeland and Deputy Auditor Ann Hinders attested to the minutes. The board is scheduled to meet next on June 23, 2026.
