Dunlap council approves hires, street contractor and routine business

Mayor Jason Knickman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The council approved the agenda (motion by Councilmember Gunia; second, Councilmember Wingrove), the Aug. 11 minutes (Murphy/Bonsall) and payment of bills (Bonsall/Murphy). The consent agenda, listing building permits including Joyce Cogdill (concrete & chair lift) and Larry Heller (lean-to), was approved on a motion by Gunia and second by Bonsall.
Under personnel actions the council voted to hire Ryan Donscheski for a public works position (motion by Gunia; second, Schauer) and set his starting pay at $24.60 per hour (motion by Murphy; second, Wingrove). The council also approved TenPoint Construction to perform street work this year (motion by Schauer; second, Bonsall). The minutes record each action as carried by voice vote: “All in favor, motion carried.” The minutes do not list individual roll-call votes.
