On March 11, 2026 the Dike City Council approved maintenance and repair work intended to keep the city’s sewer system operating.
Superintendent Rob Heerkes presented a three-year inspection contract with Midwest Pump Works (formerly Iowa Pump) to inspect 12 sewer-plant pumps at a cost of $3,074 per year; Councilmember Kauten moved to approve the contract, Councilmember Camarata seconded and the motion carried. The council also approved a quote from CIT Sewer Solutions for $19,400 in sewer repairs for fiscal year 2027 on motion by Councilmember Camarata, seconded by Councilmember Lynch.
Council approved the financial reports and voted to allow and pay the list of bills presented at the meeting; the minutes list vendor claims totaling $248,098.40. Approvals were recorded as carried by unanimous voice or roll-call votes as noted in the minutes.
