Dike City Council approves consent agenda and 2025 appointments

The Dike City Council unanimously approved its consent agenda and a series of routine 2025 appointments during a Jan. 8 regular meeting presided over by Mayor Sadie Six.
Councilmember Mikkelsen moved to approve the consent agenda — sheriff report, library report, approval of minutes and delinquent utility accounts — with Councilmember Feaker seconding. The motion carried on a unanimous voice vote.
The council then approved several annual appointments: Peoples Savings Bank for 2025 banking services (moved by Mikkelsen, seconded by Camarata); Lynch Dallas as city attorney (moved by Camarata, seconded by Feaker); Grundy Register as the city’s official newspaper (moved by Lynch, seconded by Kauten); Lindsay Nielsen as city clerk for 2025 (moved by Camarata, seconded by Mikkelsen); and Ann Hilliard as deputy clerk for 2025 (moved by Mikkelsen, seconded by Kauten). Each motion was approved unanimously.
Councilmember Feaker moved to approve Mike Camarata as Mayor Pro‑tem for 2025; Mikkelsen seconded and the motion carried. The council also approved a liquor license renewal for Slice Ultra shed (motion by Lynch, seconded by Kauten), which passed unanimously.
The meeting proceeded to other items after the appointments and routine approvals.
