At the Jan. 5 Deerwood City Council meeting, Chris Kregger of Deerwood Civic and Commerce asked the council for volunteers to staff an Outdoor and Gun Show scheduled May 2–3, 2026, and inquired whether the city would waive the special event fee and the auditorium rental fee for the event.
City Clerk Samantha Wodarz said the office has not yet received a formal application for the fee waiver and that she will bring a request to the council at the next meeting if an application is filed. The clerk’s office will therefore provide the council an opportunity to consider any formal waiver request at the Feb. 2, 2026 meeting.
No formal council action on the fee waiver occurred on Jan. 5; council members acknowledged the request and moved on to other agenda items.
