City Manager Tyler Franzky told the Dawson City Council on Feb. 10 the city is still awaiting an official reply from Nelson, Oyen & Torvik about attorney services. Separately, Walton Law Firm of Olivia, Minnesota, contacted Franzky offering to submit a proposal; Franzky said the city would review the unsolicited quote even though an RFP has not yet been issued.
Franzky also reported that Superintendent Holly Ward proposed forming a joint committee of school and city representatives to develop a formal agreement for maintenance of the high-school football field. Franzky said he will work with the Funding Committee to arrange that meeting after he returns from paternity leave on April 1.
No motions or formal decisions on attorney services or the school maintenance agreement were recorded at the Feb. 10 meeting; Franzky said he will await the law firms’ responses and coordinate the joint-committee meeting.
